What are the steps involved in mold stretching into Hardware Stamping Parts?

1. Material preparation: Select suitable metal sheets, the readily available ones consist of steel, aluminum, copper, and brass among others, and the thickness of the metal sheets in question depends on the final parts required.

2. Die design and manufacture: Cutting of a die with a cavity that has the same shape as the part that is needed. The die mainly contains an upper die or the punch and a lower die or the concave die and often a crimping ring and a means for the release of the product.

3. Stretch forming: There is a lower die in which a metal sheet is placed and a press to push the upper die to put pressure on the sheet. In this stage, it is possible to state that the sheet undergoes plastic deformation through the use of pressure through the shape of the die to the desired three-dimensional form.

4. Stripping and post-processing: Finally, after the ply has set and become rigid, the part must be taken out of the mold and this could entail the use of a stripping means. After that, the fitness of the removed part is further enhanced through deburring, cleaning, heat treatment, chemical treatment, or any other method depending on the extent that is required for the final dimension and surface finish to meet the standards.
